At McMaster, there is an active chapter of Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR), which boasts a substantial coalition of anti-Israel supporters on campus. The group’s president reportedly posted on her Facebook page, "I follow/practice the Boycotts, [sic] Divestment and Sanctions as if it were my religion." Last year, SPHR urged students to support BDS with a video featuring young children saying, "500 kids just like me were killed in Gaza..." A second group, McMaster BDS, promotes the isolation and delegitimization of Israel on campus, repeatedly bringing divestment motions to the Student Union. (Photo credit: Wikipedia.)
