Franz-Olivier Giesbert, a French journalist, author, and television host, is a vocal defender of Israel in French media. Earlier this year, Giesbert commended French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks to leaders of the Jewish community that the government would take steps to define “anti-Zionism as a modern-day form of antisemitism.” Giesbert also has supported the United States’ decision to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
