Jake Tapper

Jake Tapper, an award-winning journalist for CNN, has forcefully responded to some of his detractors, including Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and former Women's March co-chair Linda Sarsour. In August 2019, in the wake of the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, Tlaib criticized Tapper for “comparing Palestinian human rights advocates to terrorist white nationalists,” calling it “fundamentally a lie.” In response, Tapper said that “those who believe Palestinian leaders bear responsibility for the incitement of terrorism cannot then let US leaders off the hook and act as if words don’t matter.” Tapper, a practicing Jew, is also the author of The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor, a bestselling book about US troops in Afghanistan.
