ACTIVISM AND INNOVATION
Rivka Kidron and Robert Nicholson head up Passages, a program that brings thousands of young Christian leaders to the Jewish state each year, earning it an excellent reputation as the “Christian millennial version of Birthright Israel.” Kidron, who co-founded the organization, got her inspiration for the program when she served as a diaspora and Christian affairs adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Nicholson is the executive director of the Philos Project, an American nonprofit that seeks to promote positive Christian engagement in the Middle East and that sponsors the Passages program. Since its inception in 2015, Passages trips have inspired and educated some 7,000 Christian students from more than 600 colleges and universities with its wide-ranging leadership development and alumni engagement programs.
