Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Jewish leaders at the Plaza Hotel on Wednesday last week at an exclusive gathering organized by the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

Netanyahu was warmly welcomed by New York Governor David Patterson and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand who both stressed the special bond between Israel and the United States.

In front of the friendly gathering he once again called for immediate peace talks with his Palestinian Arab counterpart Mahmoud Abbas and even hinted that parts of Jerusalem may be negotiable.

Other dignitaries present included, Congressman Jerry Nadler, Congressman Anthony Weiner and Congresswoman Yvette Clarke.
