Ynet – At least eight Syrian soldiers loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and seven deserters were killed on Thursday in a clash in the southwestern Quneitra province near the Golan Heights, a monitoring group said.
The clash took place in the village of Jebata al-Khashab, along the border with the Golan Heights, conquered by Israel in 1967 and later annexed, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
