Patch – Chicago Bear Adam Podlesh will lead The Great Jewish Family Fesitval at Westfield Old Orchard Mall this Thursday. The celebration is aimed at celebrating the Jewish holiday of Lag B’Omer, which emphasizes education and Jewish unity. Bonfires and parades will be held in Jewish communities around the world, and Skokie will be among those observing the holiday. The festivities will start at 4 p.m.
Skokie Mayor George Van Dusen and U.S. Rep Jan Schakowsky will also be present.
