In advance of “Quds Day,” held on the final Friday of Ramadan as a display of Iranian solidarity with the Palestinians, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said of Israel that Iran seeks “to save this Islamic state from the oppressive Zionist fingernails.”
Iran’s supreme leader echoed the usual anti-Semitic commentary coming out of the Islamic Republic, saying Israel would “disappear from the geographical landscape” and be replaced by a Palestinian state, the Mehr news agency reported.
“With God’s help, this year as well the Iranian nation will punch the faces of the enemies of Islam on Quds Day,” Khamenei said.
