Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli was the woman Israelis searched for most on Google in 2012, according to Google’s annual Zeitgeist list, which surveys the search habits of users.
The survey found that after Refaeli, the top-searched women by Israelis were singers Sarit Hadad and Adele, followed by model Natalie Dadon, actress-singer Selena Gomez, reality TV star Yana Yosef, British royal Kate Middleton, singer-songwriter Keren Peles and model-actress Esti Ginzburg.
The top five search terms in Israel in 2012 were: Golan Telecom, the Revivo Project, labor strikes, the Instagram application and Whitney Houston. The five most searched news topics were: Operation Pillar of Defense, the general economic strike of February, Moshe Silman’s suicide by self-immolation at a social justice protest in July, the London Olympics and Hurricane Sandy.
The most frequently asked questions by Israelis were: how to make money, how to get sick days from the army, how to make babies, how to attract women and how to build applications.
