Residents of Crown Heights hurl anti-Semitic insults at cops while they arrest a local drug dealer May 14, 2013. Photo:

A narcotics arrest turned ugly last Tuesday when a woman started in on the “Jews” and their “problems.”

According to local blog, the incident took place in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn on May 14th. It began when police officers busted one black male for the possession and sale of illegal narcotics, and another for purchasing and possession of the same.

Angry residents took to the street and shouted at police officers, protesting the arrests.

While most of the anger was directed at the police, one resident took to accusing the “Jews.” The woman shouted “This aint New York, this is Jew York,” adding that “those Jews are raping and murdering and [the police] doesn’t arrest them.”

Watch the video below (the anti-Semitic tirade begins @2:00, the video includes profanities, viewer discretion is advised):

While some here might not see the reason for putting this video on Algemeiner. It is, especially when anti-Semitism is on the rise, of the utmost importance to document every single case of public anti-Semitism, no matter how seemingly unimportant it is. Where do we draw the line, what might seem like a lone crazy person, could actually be the inciting incident for the next more flagrant attack. None of it is acceptable. You can’t be a little anti-Semitic–you either are or you aren’t. If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem–as the saying goes.

  • I’m disappointed that Algemeiner felt this video needed to be posted. Sure, on the one hand it is a form of anti-Semitism. But, on the other hand, it is a woman ranting about the “f***ing Jews” and “Jew York” while her neighbor/friend gets hauled off by the police for alleged drug possession/selling. The title of the article suggested to me that there was some anti-Israel, anti-Zionist riot of significant numbers in Brooklyn. I feel Algemeiner may have given this woman a portion of her 15-minutes of fame a little prematurely.

You sure have a lot of tolerance towards anti-Semites, but I bet you would have been plenty outraged if it was a White man raging exactly the same way against Blacks or Muslims.

There’s a far, far more mundane reason to be grateful that this is being published. Not at all unlikely would be the involvement of this women with a gang of drug dealers connected to the person being arrested. This would be adjunctive evidence in terms of getting a warrant to search the premises of her apartment. Cops should always carefully document verbal opposition to arrests.
