Hamas hasn’t stopped committing the unconscionable war crime of using hospitals as terror bases, according to a recent interview with Gazan Amid Abed on the Fatah’s official TV channel Awdah.
The interview, which included footage of wheelchair-bound protesters and victims of Hamas torture, once again shone a spotlight on the brutality of its regime even to its own people and how it exploits hospitals as shields for its terror operations.
Amin Abed, political activist from Gaza: “Hamas tried to kill me because I said that October 7 does not represent the struggle of the Palestinian people …
Hamas has placed armed men in every relief center who threaten people and instill fear… They call people and summon them at Al-Shifa Hospital, Nasser Hospital, Al-Aqsa Hospital, and Al-Ma’amdani Hospital. When we say this [publicly], they [Hamas] tell us that we are giving the occupation [i.e., Israel] excuses to bomb the hospitals.
So why have you [Hamas] turned the hospitals into centers of interrogation and torture where you kill our people and torture our people who survived your adventure, your recklessness, and your terror against them? … Hamas killed dozens of young people in the Gaza Strip during the destruction because they spoke out against the Hamas movement.” [emphasis added]

In July 2024 Fatah reported that Amin Abed had been attacked by Hamas members who broke his limbs and attempted to murder him after he criticized Hamas on social media.
Abed’s interview joins other similar reports documented by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) throughout Hamas’ Oct. 7 war on Israel.
Last October, as PMW reported, the PA acknowledged Hamas was using “schools, tents, and hospitals” for interrogations:
Hamas’ internal security has begun summoning opponents for interrogation in schools, tents, and hospitals that Hamas operatives have overtaken, and it recently even summoned employees in the international development and aid agencies in order to obtain information about the amounts [of aid] and distribution methods!

In May 2025, PMW uncovered threats made to a Gazan doctor who objected to Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s use of Gaza’s Nasser Hospital for terror operations.
Five months earlier, PMW revealed a Facebook post by former official spokesman of the PA Security Forces, Adnan Al-Damiri, which displayed an official Hamas summons for a Gazan to appear for interrogation at the same hospital.
