Apple Inc. will inaugurate the first entrepreneurship development center of its kind at a High School in Hadera next week, Globes is reporting.
The center at Amal High School was established with the collaboration of the Ministry of Education. The students will learn application development and marketing and will develop iOS-based apps for iPads and iPhones. Apple will provide instructors to train the center’s teachers and students.
According to Globes, “Amal CEO Ravit Dom initiated the Entrepreneurship Center to teach business management and financial thinking combined with practical experience, with the goal of narrowing gaps and improving the education system in disadvantaged areas.”
The project will include 60 9th and 10th grade students from the school.
“The Entrepreneurship Center rests on three pillars: a tight link between academics, practical experience in the industry and with medical and research institutions, and mini business administration at the highest level. This combination will help students meet global competition and lead the Israeli economy to new technological achievements,” according to the project’s founders.
