The man who “voices Donald Duck in the Middle East” got all “quacked up” over Israel Sunday, taking to his Twitter account to call for the Jewish state to be “demolished,” and insulting its inhabitants as “a bunch of Polish/ Ethiopian immigrants roughly 70 years old.”
“I truly wish #Israel is demolished, I hate Zionism, I have so much hate inside me with every single child they murder or land they seize!” Wael Mansour, who identifies himself as the voice of Disney’s Donald Duck character in the Middle East, posted to his Twitter account.
According to his Twitter profile, Mansour is also an Egyptian Singer, TV & Radio Host – working at Cairo’s Mega FM 92.7. One of his YouTube videos has garnered nearly 100,000 hits.
Only hours after making his initial comments about Israel and Zionism he doubled-down, responding to criticism from Twitter followers.
“I don’t know why insulting #Israel & #Zionism is ‘Anti-Semitic’?! They are just a bunch of Polish/ Ethiopian immigrants roughly 70 years old,” he wrote.
Mansour has posted in the past to his Twitter account about his dubbing Donald Duck. In January he posted a photo that allegedly shows him recording the character’s voice.
Disney—which owns the rights to Donald Duck and is chaired by Bob Iger, who is Jewish—did not immediately respond to The Algemeiner’s request for comment.
UPDATE: Reached directly via Twitter Mansour added: “The zionist entity is a racist entity by definition. Performing crimes of hate by the power of its criminal law. I stand firm by what I said.”
Asked for his take on Egyptian society, and the country’s rampant discrimination against minorities, he said that the country “dictates an overwhelming islamic sentiment that happened normally. On the other hand the Zionist entity is a bunch of immigrants stealing lands and creating a state based on a racist difference.”
