TEL AVIV – Promoters here say they’ve already sold 44,000 tickets to pop powerhouse Justin Timberlake’s show on Wednesday, and promise a knockout performance at Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park.

“The show will be the hit of the summer,” producer Udi Appelboim boasted of the local leg of “The 20/20 Experience” world tour, to Israel’s Channel 2 on Sunday.

“While there were those who were doubtful, we proved that crowds in Israel were bigger than their assumptions,” Appelboim said.

“We’re all excited about his arrival here; the ability to host one of the world’s most talked-about performances is a feather in the hat of the Israeli showcase,” he said.

While tickets are going for NIS 375 ($107) for “festival seating” (standing on the grass), and a whopping NIS 1255 ($360) to get a seat, Appelboim said that the show will include “effects never before seen in Israel,” making it worth the price.

Meanwhile, preparations at Timberlake’s luxury hotel in Herzliya where he will be joined by his wife, actress Jessica Biel, are in full swing, according to the report.

Timberlake and his crew will be staying at the 100 square meter penthouse suite at the Ritz Carlton, overlooking the Tel Aviv Marina. The only possible question remaining is if his private jet has its own labeled parking slot and attendant at the nearby beachside Sde Dov airport.

Timberlake is set to arrive in Israel after a show in Istanbul, Turkey, and will travel on to perform in Rabat, Morocco.
