A Radical New Approach to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Change the Education System

Those at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) who voted to condemn Israel in the harshest terms, are, as usual, the nations with the bloodiest hands. Israel has been condemned by the UNHRC at least 46 times, almost more than the rest of the world combined.

Those in Europe who abstained from voting nonetheless abandoned Israel. The U.K. was amongst those who abstained. We miss you Tony Blair.

Is anyone surprised that Europe is once again morally passive? Perhaps the European Union is concerned about offending the Neo Nazi parties, who proudly – and without objection – raise their right arm in a Nazi salute upon entering the European Parliament.

And what about the 20 rockets found in the UN school, which the UN promptly returned to Hamas? Will the UN be accountable for having willingly armed a terrorist entity? Of course not; we all know that real accountability within the United Nations only ever applies to Israel.

As for America, Obama’s peace talks have been nothing more than “copy cat” politics – imitating the failed foreign policy of the Bill Clinton era. Nothing original, just the usual pressure for Israel to stop building much needed housing, followed by a meek demand for Hamas to stop firing rockets. Meanwhile, the strongest terminology to desist is directed at Israel, a nation that cannot afford to lose this war or any other. There’s certainly nothing new under the sun.

With millions in U.S. tax dollars being used each year to fund Hamas’ crimes against humanity, why are PA officials not being held accountable for lining their own pockets with those same tax dollars?  Are we simply turning a blind eye to the fact that our hard earned American dollars are funding a war against Israel? Exactly how much of our money is being used to build and maintain this terrorist state? How many dollars are funding teachers who spew hatred against Israel and the USA? Is there any accountability anywhere?

How about a new approach?

For every tunnel built to smuggle arms and murder unsuspecting Israeli citizens, Hamas members should be sentenced to build schools, gyms, hospitals, and community-centers all under the supervision of the UN. In addition, Hamas should erect an apartment building in Israel every time a tunnel is found. Hamas has never suffered any consequences for any act of warfare against Israel, nor any liability for the killing, hanging, abuse, or honor killing of even one Palestinian. Hamas operates without consequence or conscience. Perhaps somebody could kindly explain to me the function of the UNHCR.

Any time a Hamas member exploits a child, teenager, or woman for use as a human shield, they should be sent to assist in a hospital in the Gaza strip for five years. They should change bandages, nurse the sick, mop the floors, wait on the wounded, bathe the babies, and feed the elderly, as well as attend a rehabilitation center for addiction to violence.

Perhaps the humanistic UNHCR could sweep in and safeguard every home in Gaza, ensuring that they are never again used for anything other than civilian residences.

Maybe the UNHCR could do something useful like sit in the schools in Gaza and ensure no rockets are stored there. Perhaps the UN could see just what exactly is being taught in the schools, and throw out the hate-mongering ideology of Hamas.

Our tax dollars should not be used to fund terrorism and acts of violence. We have financed a generation of hate. Palestinian children should cross the border and be educated in Israel. Israel will produce a generation of productive people who appreciate the gift of life. Palestinian citizens will no longer be afraid of cowardly Hamas thugs lining their streets, because Hamas will be deemed irrelevant by Palestinians who would’ve learned to love life.

The responsibility of educating Palestinian children cannot remain in the blood-thirsty hands of Hamas.

We have to jump over terror to make peace. We should not legitimize terror by negotiating with Hamas. Every single American president has failed to understand that peace begins in the classroom. Indoctrinating a child with hate and glorifying cold-blooded murder as an act of martyrdom is child abuse and exploitation. Palestinian children are being taught hate, racism, bigotry, and intolerance. Remove their wicked teachers and evil role models, and peace will have a chance

Every child yearns to be accepted and is eager to do the very thing that will bring them their parent’s love. In Gaza the young trust their elders and innocently embrace the lessons of the day at their school of hate. Where is the UNHCR when three year olds learn to spew hate from their nursery books and TV shows? Where is the UNHCR when five year olds are handed rifles and taught that murder and suicide will bring their parents and community endless pride?

If Gaza cannot responsibly educate Palestinian children, then Israel must step in. Israel needs to educate this generation of Palestinian children to choose life, and what better place to teach them that than in the State of Israel. We have nothing better to offer the world than life itself. It is time to bring life to the children of Gaza.
