Residents were evacuated from their homes in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramot and the nearby town of Mevasseret Zion on Thursday after a large fire broke out in the Ramot forest.
Emergency and rescue services said the fire was rapidly spreading in the direction of the southern part of the Ramot neighborhood, leading to a call on residents to leave their homes. A nearby horse ranch was also evacuated. In Mevasseret Zion, police forces were evacuating homes near the forest.
