An anti-Israel student group from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) responsible for a violent protest against a pro-Israel event is under investigation by the local District Attorney’s (DA) office, Campus Reform reported late last week.

According to the report, the actions by UCI’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) during the May protest are now coming under close scrutiny by the Orange County DA which is exploring whether any criminal behavior occurred.

DA spokesperson Roxi Fyad told Campus Reform that the case — which is also being independently investigated by UCI — was passed along by a third party to the DA’s office.

As reported by The Algemeiner, SJP and other anti-Israel student groups at UCI violently demonstrated against a Student’s Supporting Israel (SSI) event featuring Israel Defense Forces (IDS) veterans and the screening of a movie about Israel’s army.

According to reports at the time, the Anti-Israel protesters at UCI blockaded attendees and shouted“Long live the intifada,” “f*** the police,” “displacing people since ‘48/ there’s nothing here to celebrate” and “all white people need to die.” One female student was harassed and chased, to the point that she was forced to flee and take refuge inside a nearby building. Police were eventually called in, but allowed the protest to continue.

In May, SJP said it was “wholly justified” in protesting the SSI event, because “the presence of the IDF, better known as Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), and police threatened our coalition of Arab, Jewish, Black, Latinx, API, undocumented, trans, and queer students and the greater activist community. Our demonstration was held to protest the presence of military and police forces on campus, which threaten the lives of Black and Brown people every day.”

While UCI officials say they have launched an investigation into the anti-Israel protest, SSI’s founder and president, Ilan Sinelnikov, told The Algemeiner following the incident that if the university “sweeps the behavior of the demonstrators under the table,” legal action will be pursued.

UCI has been at the epicenter of several notorious antisemitic events over the last decade. In 2010, a group of anti-Israel students aggressively interrupted the speech of then-Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren to the pro-Israel community on campus. The students, who became infamously known as the “Irvine 11,” were arrested, prosecuted and sentenced to three years of informal probation, after being found guilty of conspiracy to disrupt and disrupting.

These Muslims groups are geared strictly to incite to kill Jews, and destroy Israel..Their slogan you hear them say in their rallies, “free, free, Palestine” is code word for, and actually means, kill, kill all Jews, and take all of Israel’s land, and convert it to a terror nation, to be named Palestine..This is blatant hate speech, and incitement, which is very illegal, normally. These Muslim creatures prey on the very ignorant, and the weak minded people, to convince them of their lies, they are mostly liberal left folks that are not very educated, with No knowledge of history….These Muslim groups are one drop away from actually being terrorists, and surely should be banned before it gets ugly. If each U.S. States don’t want wars in their streets, they better enforce the law, against this type of hate, otherwise It’s just a matter of time..We all know the Jews will win the war any way, but if we can avoid the war, everyone will be better off..

Social Justice Warriors – dumb as a bag of hammers. I would be highly surprised if any three of these spoiled, ungrateful, irretrievably stupid little shits could find Israel on a map. Most of them belong to several groups (at least) including Black Lives Matter and some of the more over-the-top third wave feminist groups who preach that black people and white people – men and women (and queer, trans this and that, LGBTQRSTUV345^#9@!8%$*%^789… are in fact ‘classes’ rather than individuals. They base everything on racisl and sexual identity – identity politics, reminiscent of the thinking behind the Nuremburg Laws. It’s a perversion of the already perverse marxist ideology that has known such terrific success when applied in the real world [sarcasm]. Their idea of ‘activism’ is poring through Twitter in the hope that some celebrity might have said something that can be taken out of context, twisted around and labelled ‘racist’ or ‘misogynistic’ (apparently we don’t say ‘sexist’ anymore because women cannot be sexist, therefore, all sexism is directed toward women; besides, the word is ‘triggering’) so they can form a Twitter hate mob and get someone shamed or fired. That and demonstrating outside anything they’ve decided they don’t agree with and is ‘oppressing’ them. This is a cult. This incident is just one of many ridiculous examples of cultural marxism in American, Canadian, British and some European campuses these days and yet, we hear little to nothing about it in the mainstream media, mainly because the mainstream news outlets don’t know how to handle it and individual presenters and journalists are afraid of being singled out and boycotted, publicly disgraced and/or fired. Apart from the US government (obviously) Israel is the most hated entity of all to these brats (none of whom could tell you what the Six Day War was) and their anti-Semitism is virulent They just relabel it ‘anti-Zionism’). For those who might think I’m being paranoid, wait and see. This ‘social justice’ is a cult.

Just a bunch of antisemitic, anti-Israel, anti-Jewish protestors who should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Why are the university authorities so petrified to take any action in the name of political correctness?

  • Sheldon

Ironic how the “protestors” literally ignore the plight of hundreds of millions of their Muslim sisters who are treated worse than dogs, yet they protest Israel, the only free democracy in the region where women, including Muslim women, are respected and treated as equals to men.

Punishment should be a required course in Jewish history along with reading ‘Night’ by Weisel. A population of higher educated young adults that doesn’t include history makes them dangerous to a peaceful society. I’m disgusted with UCI.

  • “all white people need to die.” “Our demonstration was held to protest the presence of military and police forces on campus, which threaten the lives of Black and Brown people every day.” I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I read this. Jews aren’t White. Some of us are fair skinned, but so are some Arabs. This group has one purpose only, to demonize Jews, Israelis, and Zionists. They don’t care how they reach that goal. Funded by groups such as Electronic Intifada and Hamas, violence and intimidation are their preferred tools. Calls for destruction of Israel and for killing Jews takes them well over the border of free speech into hate speech and incitement. They should be investigated, and the university should also be reacting. This stopped being about the right to express their views the moment they began to call for the deaths and violent actions towards other students.

So you are saying Jews who came from Eastern Europe, whose families were there for a few hundred years aren’t white> YOU might as well say Lithuanians, Russian, Germans, Polish, aren’t white because that is where Eastern European Jews came from.I look at myself in the mirror and I see a white person

The yDNA of Ashkenazi men show a direct link to the yDNA of Sephardim, Mizrahim, etc, all from the levant:

From recent research at Stanford U

More evidence for modern Ashkenazi Jews’ ancient Hebrew patrimony

If Ashkenazis were the spawn of Khazar royals, their DNA would show it. But those Y chromosomes were as Levantine as a levant sandwich. The same genetic “signature” popped up on every Levite sampled (as well as a significant number of non-Levite Ashkenazis), strongly implying descent from a single common ancestor who lived in the Fertile Crescent between 1,500 and 2,500 years ago. That signature is absent in the Y chromosomes of modern European non-Jewish men, and in male inhabitants of what was once Khazaria.

      • Lena

The mtDNA of Ashkenzi women is primarily from Italian and eastern European mothers who converted to Judaism upon marriage to Jews.

      • Lena

Skin color, etc. is the result of melanin encoding genes possessed by all of us. The lack of UV radiation in northern and eastern Europe results, through selection and epigenetics, is the lightest skin/hair/eyes on earth. In the end, we are all various shades of brown, depending on environment. In Israel, Mizrahim form the majority of the Jewish population. They have medium brown skin and black hair, having remained in the mideast for thousands of years.

  • Alex

LOL! “threatened our coalition of Arab, Jewish, Black, Latinx, API, undocumented, trans, and queer students”

I wonder how Jews, Trans & Queer people are treated in the Palestinian territories… oh wait, they’re killed. And here you consider them your allies?

  • Lia

Waiting to see if UCI will be straightforwardly honest.

  • Criminal behavior definitely occurred and these thugs and punks need to experience the same treatment they doled out – preferably in Guantanamo Bay!

  • Reform School

Must they be charged as they charge others: electrically? (More Power to Them!)

  • Let us hope that the DA investigation is a corner turned in this and other universities turning a blind eye.

At some point, too, all the misguided Jews and LGBTQs and others caught in the sick intersectionality lie who BLM and Muslims so despise will realize how horrifically they are being used and will most likely be turned on by the racist BLM and JFP criminals.

    • Paul

      Nicely put 🙂

  • SteveHC

Given that SJP is – apparently – still allowed by the UCI administration to operate without limitation on campus, it woukd seem to me that legal action directed at SJP and/or UCI should commence NOW rather than waiting for some day, month or year for the DA’s office to decide what if anything it woukd like to do with the case.

  • stevenl

DA should do the same on every US campuses!!! Why did it take so much time?

  • J. Gold

Bloody well about time they were held accountable. Their actions are completely reprehensible and unjustified.

  • nora alatorre

muslims take them back to the dessert !!! thats where they belong !!! keep them there , to scary to have them here in america

  • Michael Bregman

Getting 3 years informal probation is why these groups continue. Make the punishment meaningful.

  • Yaakov

It would seem that “a third party” should not have been necessary for the DA’s office to begin an investigation. I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for any action to be taken.
