Syrian state television reported Tuesday that the Syrian army had shot down an Israeli fighter jet and drone using surface-to-air missiles, a claim the IDF dismissed.
Israeli officials confirmed that Syrian forces did shoot at Israeli warcraft, but did not succeed in taking down their targets.
The incident followed IDF operations in Quneitra, a southwest Syrian city.
