Judaism is About Happiness; Realize it!

Owning a Public Relations agency, I have to be glued to the news and connected to what’s going on day to day. It’s not easy to stay upbeat, as rarely does one see a positive, good story in the media. This week it’s about Gadaffi, and Lindsay Lohan’s most recent crime. I am sure next week won’t be much more positive. In synagogue on Shabbat I read the Jewish newspapers and the headlines scream of fear, scandal and shame…
I didn’t grow up particularly religious, but I was quite the ardent Zionist – Protesting against Arab attacks on Israel, Anti-Semitism, Holocaust Revisionism and plenty of other disasters. But life isn’t about negativity, and Judaism is about being positive and enjoying the beauty of being Jewish. The Public Relations objective of all of us in the Jewish community should be to speak about positivity, fun and excitement.
First thing in the morning, I often listen to an inspirational song by popular Israeli Singer Eyal Golan, a song which has seen mainstream music success over the past couple of years:
