Netanyahu: IDF Will Remain Along Jordan River

Jerusalem Post – Amid talk of a new diplomatic plan, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu went to the Jordan Valley on Tuesday and made abundantly clear that in any future agreement, Israel must retain a security presence along the Jordan River.

Noticeably, however, he said nothing about the future of the settlements in the region, even as he called the area Israel’s “eastern gate” and the country’s “insurance policy.”
