Rep. Peter King (R-NY) visits Guantanamo Bay.

The Hill – Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) defended his hearing Thursday on radicalization in the U.S. Muslim community, saying his panel “could not live in denial.”

King, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, made the statement as he opened a hearing that has sparked controversy, with some saying King should not be singling out Muslims.
