Rep. King Opens Hearings on Radical Islam Amid Threats

Rep. Peter King (R-NY) visits Guantanamo Bay.

The Hill – Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) defended his hearing Thursday on radicalization in the U.S. Muslim community, saying his panel “could not live in denial.”

King, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, made the statement as he opened a hearing that has sparked controversy, with some saying King should not be singling out Muslims.
