Jonathan Pollard who was convicted of spying for Israel and is now serving life in federal prison, has been rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery following a worsening in his medical condition.
His wife Esther told Israel’s Channel 7 news station that the prison management have not updated her regarding his condition, “Last time something similar happened the doctors saved him at the very last moment. I ask everyone to pray for him,” she added.
When Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. met with the Pollards last week Esther described his many medical problems to the ambassador, saying “I do not know how much longer he could hold out.”
So far there is no official update on Pollard’s medical condition.
