Technology giant Apple, which just recorded its highest quarterly revenue ever, is reportedly planning to open a development center in Haifa by the end of February.

The complex will house a base of engineers and is coming on the heels of Apple’s $390 million purchase of Israeli technology company Anobit.

America’s second largest company measured by market cap, Apple would join other technology giants such as Google, Intel, IBM, and Microsoft with permanent offices inside Israel.

According to the Israeli newspaper Calcalist, hiring has begun for the development center, with an aim at opening it near the end of February.
