Syrian Fighting Moves Towards Damascus

Telegraph – Dozens of military trucks poured soldiers into Douma, a town on the north-east edge of the city and just ten miles from the centre, which has been a centre of rebel activity. Other suburbs were then also attacked, residents said, after members of the rebel Free Syrian Army rushed to Douma to try to defend it.

“Military forces are surrounding Douma, Irben, Mesraba, Harasta,” the resident, Omar Hamzawi, said. “The government has decided to kill the revolution, once and for all.
