Syrian forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad continue to kill hundreds of people in it’s attempt to crush a popular uprising aimed at toppling his regime.  Reports have surfaced that humanitarian aid is coming in from the West to assists the opposition but Israel has not been named as one of the country’s offering help.

A Syrian religious cleric associated with the opposition movement thinks Israel could be a quality resource for his people.

On Safa Television in Kuwait, Syrian cleric Al-Ar’our appealed to Israel, Syria’s neighbor to the northeast, for help in assisting wounded opposition members with medical treatment.
