CNN – Syrian tanks moved into the besieged Homs neighborhood of Baba Amr on Thursday, a stronghold of the tenacious anti-government resistance.

Security forces entered homes and snipers took positions on the rooftops of government buildings after opposition forces retreated, activists said.
