Thousands of Syrians Flee into Turkey

euronews – Nearly 3,000 Syrians have fled the unrest to Turkey over the past 24 hours, Turkish authorities said on Friday.

Ankara says the daily number of people crossing the border between the two countries has doubled since Damascus vowed to abide by a truce.

Officials say more than 24,000 Syrian refguees are now residing in Turkey.
