Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke May 29 at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), where he called on the Palestinian Authority to “give peace a chance” and “not to miss this unique opportunity” for peace.

Netanyahu said Israel’s desire for peace “is not always reciprocated” and that Israel “does not want to rule the Palestinians.” He reiterated his commitment to a two-state solution, but argued that Palestinian recognition of Israel as the Jewish national homeland is necessary, according to reports.
