Israeli PM Netanyahu Calls on Palestinians to “Give Peace a Chance”

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke May 29 at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), where he called on the Palestinian Authority to “give peace a chance” and “not to miss this unique opportunity” for peace.

Netanyahu said Israel’s desire for peace “is not always reciprocated” and that Israel “does not want to rule the Palestinians.” He reiterated his commitment to a two-state solution, but argued that Palestinian recognition of Israel as the Jewish national homeland is necessary, according to reports.
