JPost/Reuters – Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Friday he was ready to hold dialogue with Israel if it freed prisoners and re-armed his police, but there could be no full peace talks without a freeze on West Bank settlements.

“We recently told them that if Israel accepted to free prisoners and allow us to re-arm the police then we would again sit at the same table as [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu,” Abbas said.

We should not be in such a hurry to “solve” the “peace process”. Territorial conflicts between different groups of people can take hundreds of years to resolve. I can think of 3 other conflicts in Asia that are also political-military stalemates. 1) Korea; 2)status of Taiwan; 3) Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan. These conflicts also date back to the late 1940’s. There are older people still alive who remember the wars that created their situations. The “peace process” will make more sense 50-100 years from now.

The state of Israel is a mind set, the third (Revelation 9:18) behind Egypt and Assyria (Isaiah 19:25). *Jeremiah 8:15 We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble! *1st Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1st Corinthians 3:5) *Isaiah 10:20*

So, Kevin Coles of the Bronx, how many people have you been able to convert on a Jewish News website with your constant Christian bible quotations? All that you have managed to achieve is to convince all of us that you are unable to think for yourself or quite possible even talk in modern day English.

Honestly if you’re going to constantly pester people on the internet you might want to look into some basic privacy practices to protect your identity.

For somebody who tries so hard to give a hardline Christian appearance, its ironic that you do so on the sinmobile that is the internet.

Honestly if you’re going to constantly pester people on the internet you might want to look into some basic privacy practices to protect your identity…like not using the same alias for every single site.

As a liberal Jewish Obama voter I am very happy with his stands on health care and gay marriage but as a Jew ,

1- I remember that Obama really has put Israel under the bus.He changed the policy of previous administrations that the borders were subject to negotiations and that Israel would get new borders and not have to go back to the 67 borders ( including the Western Wall and the settlement blocks ) to withdrawal from all the territories. This takes away Israel’s most important card in negotiations.

2- I doubt he would use military force vs. Iran even when it gets its nuclear bomb.
