Israeli military action against Iran’s nuclear program would lead to the collapse of the Jewish state, a high-ranking Iranian general said June 23, according to the Iranian Fars news agency.

“They [the Israelis] cannot do the slightest harm to the [Iranian] revolution and the system,” Brig. Gen. Mostafa Izadi, deputy chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, told Fars. He said Hezbollah proved this during the Second Lebanon War, when “a small group of Hezbollah fighters similar to Iranian Basij fighters defeated Israel.”

“The Islamic Revolution enjoys high capability, and if the Zionist regime wants to take an action against us, it will bring about its own demise,” the Iranian general said.

We have to realize that this Iranian regime is begging for Israel to attack it as it will be a huge rallying point to empower them even more. As it is today the Ayatollahs are very unpopular with a significant part of the population and an Israeli attack will bring them a huge amount of nationalistic sympathy even from opponents. So all their provocations are meant to exasperate the Jewish Nation, I hope Israel can be find a miracle solution to this never ending problem. An Israeli attack on Iran will have bad consequences in the Arab street especially in Egypt. Only the US can administer a severe military action on Iran without drumming more trouble for Israel and the West.If an attack it has to be so significant that it can bring the regime down, Israel is not equipped for this sort of action.

  • Um…Brig. Gen. Mostafa Izadi is terribly mistaken. if G-d forbid a war was to break out in the region between Iran and Israel/The West the total loss of human life will be great, but the degree of lasting damage to the Iranian regime will be of a greater magnitude.

The sabre rattling must stop !
