Politico – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday underscored the United States’ commitment to achieving an “AIDS-free generation” and announced more than $150 million in additional funding — in part toward the goal of putting an end to mother-to-child transmission by 2015.
“I’ve heard a few voices raise questions about America’s commitment,” Clinton told the International AIDS 2012 Conference on Monday morning. “The United States is committed, will remain committed. We will not back down. … We will fight for the resources we need to achieve this historic milestone.”
