The Chairman and CEO of global news conglomerate News Corporation, Rupert Murdoch, predicted this morning that a win for President Obama in the upcoming American presidential election would be a “nightmare” for Israel. He also said that Vice President Joe Biden’s comments about his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the vice presidential debate on Thursday night were false.

“Nightmare for Israel if Obama wins,” he tweeted, adding, “Biden outright lied about personal relations with Bibi.”

The media mogul who’s company owns The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, The New York Post and other major media assets, also included harsh criticism for United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice and the White House, as well as advice for Mitt Romney in his tweets.

Murdoch has long been viewed as a friend of Israel and has been honored by a number of Jewish organizations. At the Innovate. Invest. Israel. Conference that took place just over a month ago in New York, Murdoch recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, saying, “As far as I’m concerned, what was right for King David is right for me. Therefore, to me, Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Israel.”

Murdoch has consistently been highly ranked in The Algemeiner’s annual list of the “Top 10 Non-Jews Positively Influencing the Jewish Future,” coming in as number one in 2010, and number two in 2011, and 2012.

In his entry for this year’s list The Algemeiner wrote, “Murdoch, and his right hand Roger Ailes, were honored in May of this year at Manhattan’s Museum of Jewish Heritage where he said, ‘To my mind, that is the grand promise of Zionism: that Israel exists so that Jews can protect themselves.’ He concluded, ‘I believe that it is no longer just Israel’s survival at stake but our own.'”

  • We must pass this to all of our Jewish friends.

Rupert Murdoch is a real Philo-Semite. Jews should be very appreciative of him. He has almost single-handedly (through his Fox and Sky networks) taken on the dominance of the left-leaning and Anti-Israel BBC, CNN etc in Australia, Europe and North America.

I find it hard to name another non-Jewish individual who’s done more for Jews and Israel in the post-War period than Murdoch.

Me as an Israeli this nightmare has been started four years ago and is getting worse by the day. Given the existential threat to my county I am not able to figure why most American Jews are voting for Obama. Regarding the debate Biden who was aware of his opponent weaknesses managed to win it in spite of all his lies regarding Israel, his relationship with Netanyahu, and his unintelligent argument that even if Iran has the bomb they won’t be able to use it.

  • During these unprecedented times of media bias, the entire civilized world should express gratitude to Mr. Murdoch for maintaining a communication bridge with reality.
In contrast, Mr. Biden`s comments in question during the debate were deliberately misleading and inaccurate.
When discussing the fate of the Jewish nation, he will be held accountable for his misrepresentation of coziness between the Administration and Bibi as well as the lack of imminent threat.
What I found most reprehensible was Biden`s exploitation of being “in the loop”, which buttresses both of these lies.

In spite of his penchant for salacious journalism, Me urdoch is somewhat of a marvel. some of the Irish like Murdoch genuinely love the Jews. Joe Biden, on the other hand, is a vicious anti-semite and I am not surprised if he outright lied about his relationship with Bibi. Biden belittled the potential for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons potential saying that even if it possessed the enriched uranium it still would need a weapon to fit it to. How come Bibi or anybody else isn’t saying this? Why would it be so difficult for Iran to develop a ballistic missile for a bomb when they already have advanced missiles and could be assisted covertly by pakistan or Russia or even China? Why is biden poo-pooing this Iranian issue? If you ask me, it is because he is another Patrick Buchanan which is probably why he was selected to be Obama’s VP.
