Facebook Tests New “Buy Ticket” Button in Israeli Market
by Zach Pontz
Social media giant Facebook has decided to test one of its new features in the Israeli market. The site is now offering a ticket-buying option, as reported first by All Facebook and confirmed by The Next Web.
According to Business Insider the new feature allows hosts to “have the option to charge event-goers a set amount per ticket. Currently, Facebook is sending attendees to third-party sites (Ticketmaster and Eventim) to complete transactions.”
And The Next Web adds: “Considering that Facebook has payments processing in place and could integrate ticketing with Facebook Gifts, it’s clear that the social giant could leave quite an impact on the events space…if it chose to do so.”
