Kerry: Window for Two-State Solution Shutting in 1-2 Years

Politico – Efforts to reach a two-state solution to bring about peace between Israel and the Palestinians have up to two years to reach fruition or the whole concept will become infeasible, Secretary of State John Kerry said Wednesday.

“I’m committed to this because I believe the window for a two-state solution is shutting. I think we have some period of time: a year, a year and a half to two years—or it’s over,” Kerry said ominously at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing. “There’s an urgency to this in my mind and I intend on behalf of the president’s instructions to honor that urgency and see what we can do to move forward.”
