Jay Schottenstein

Philanthropist

Schottenstein’s surname graces the most popular translation of the Babylonian Talmud, a 73-volume edition that his family helped fund and which took some fifteen years and tens of millions of dollars to complete. The edition’s publisher, Artscroll, also continues to be a major recipient of Schottenstein’s financial goodwill, as are  many other Jewish causes around the world and in Israel.
