Joseph Telushkin

Author

A respected and authoritative author, Telushkin penned many important and influential works, including Jewish Literacy: The Most Important Things to Know About the Jewish Religion, Its People and Its History, which is one of the best-selling books on Judaism of the past two decades. His other books include: A Code of Jewish Ethics, The Book of Jewish Values, Biblical Literacy, Jewish Wisdom, Jewish Humor and others. He is one of the most well-read people writing about Judaism today. As a Rabbi, he leads the Synagogue for the Performing Arts, where congregants are exposed to an environment that promotes “worshiping in a creative, flexible and informal atmosphere related to the time in which we live.” As a lecturer he’s in demand around the country for his eloquent take on Jewish life. His current and past associations aren’t a thing to shrug at either, he is a current member of the board of directors of the Jewish Book Council and former director of education at the Brandeis-Bardin Institute.
