Michael Steinhardt

A co-founder of Taglight-Birthright Israel, Steinhardt has actively involved himself in Jewish causes for decades. With over $125 million in donations thus far, he has placed an emphasis on perpetuating American Jewish culture through such institutions as the The Steinhardt Foundation for Jewish Life. In January 2013 he put an estimated $11 million Jewish art collection on sale at Sotheby’s because, in his words, “it is time for the collection to be passed on to a new generation, in the hopes that it will encourage them in turn to discover a rich Jewish heritage and the joy of owning a piece of the past.”

  • Dr. Mr. Steinhardt,

I have created a program, similar to the Birthright program, but my target audience is 55 years or older.
Since the programs inception, I have taken over 120 people to Israel who never thought they would be able to experience “what their child did” on the Birthright Mission.
I called the program L’Dor V’Dor becuase I beleive that we must role model for our adult children and keep the existence of “generation to generation” alive.
I have created this program with love from an inheritence that my father left for me.
I would love to share more about the program with you, if you would be interested.
My next trip goes out October 18-28,2013 so I am busy getting ready.
I hope you will connect with me, after November 1, 2013
Thank you for taking the time to read this comment.
