Former prime minister Ehud Olmert met Thursday morning with Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Naftali Bennett at his office in Tel Aviv, according to a report by Israel’s Channel 2.

According to the report, the two met privately for several hours. Olmert, whose dovish policy positions diverge with the hawkish policies of Bennett apparently castigated the latter at one point during the meeting. Bennett’s office refused to comment.

During a conference in New York last month, Olmert said that “two-state solution is the only solution.” Bennett generally dismisses the possibility of such a compromise being reached.
