The Secretary-General of Lebanese based terror group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, told Lebanon’s As-Safir newspaper that his terror organization’s conflict with Israel is clear-cut compared to the quagmire of Lebanese politics.

“The target is always clear during battles with the Israelis and the options are limited, while locally the difficulties are limitless,” Nasrallah was quoted as saying, according to a translation from Lebanon’s Naharnet.

Speaking on the seventh anniversary of the end of the Second Lebanon War Wednesday, Nasrallah said that the tactics and speeches used in the conflict with Israel are obvious, while locally the rift is deep and much more complex.

Hezbollah has come under criticism from Lebanese officials recently for its role in aiding Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in his country’s ongoing civil war. Recently the group’s “military arm” was blacklisted by the European Union after Bulgarian officials linked the organization to a suicide attack in the country last summer that left five Israeli tourists dead.
