Jewish teenager Sam Horowitz earned himself an encore after a video of his lavishly choreographed bar mitzvah dance went viral.
The Dallas youth appeared Thursday on ABC’s Good Morning America, where he was joined by back up dancers to re-enact the most memorable moment from his step into manhood, which took place last November.
According to the boy’s mom, Horowitz had been planning the occasion for a good portion of his young life.
“At a very young age, I took him to his first concert,” Angela Horowitz explained. “Dancers came from the ceiling on chandeliers and he said, ‘Mom, I’m gonna do that for my bar mitzvah.'”
The dance didn’t come naturally to the boy. He said that he spent many hours practicing.
“I would rehearse every Sunday for a month for three hours with my very good choreographer,” he told GMA, adding that his new-found fame is “like a dream.”
