The United States’ shift in tone towards Syria in recent days, coming in response to a chemical weapons attack in the country, carried out by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad who are battling anti-regime rebels, can be attributed much in part to Israeli intelligence, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

According to the paper’s national correspondent, Adam Entous, officials say that Israel was able to provide intelligence—later verified by the CIA—directly from the Syrian army unit which controls chemical weapons in the country, and reports directly to Assad. According to Entous, Israel was able to show that the unit had transferred a certain type of chemical weapon and rockets to the area later attacked, killing scores of civilians.

According to Entous, the U.S. administration’s position on whether Syria had, in fact, used chemical weapons in last week’s attack was swayed considerably over the weekend by the new information.

“Sorry. This Video Does Not Exist”

Has the Algemeiner learned NOTHING from the Edward Snowden debacle, if not the Jonathan Pollard case?

Where governments work in secrecy, Democracy does not.

It is also true that “Loose Lips Sink Ships.”

Could President Obama be a Russian or Iranian mole?

    What a dilemma!

I was reading about what Napalm does to a person’s skin and how it was used in the 2nd World War. Then there was a video of that little girl in Vietnam who was running naked away from an attack of it. She was about 6. That went viral on all the news reports from the Vietnam War. It is shocking to read what it does to a person’s skin. It falls off and the pain you cannot imagine. I do not agree with what the rebels are doing in Syria but then I do not agree with using Napalm in Syria either.
