JNS.org Two Palestinians driving a stolen truck stormed a gate at Ben-Gurion International Airport before dawn on Tuesday and tried to run over a security employee, Israel Hayom reported.

The truck was apparently stolen from the Beit Dagan community near Rishon Letzion. A security official manning a roadblock fired his weapon and managed to stop the truck a mere 200 meters from the airport’s Terminal 3, while evading attempts to run him over.

The two Palestinian men, residents of the West Bank towns of Jenin and Qalqilya, fled from the vehicle and tried to enter the terminal by foot. They were apprehended before entering the hall.

A police sapper examined the stolen truck and concluded that it was not carrying any explosives. During the course of the event, all flights and security checks were stopped until the resolution of the incident, causing delays.
