A Reuters cameraman caught the moments immediately following the shooting death of Sgt. Gal Gabriel Kobi at a checkpoint in Hebron Sunday night.

In his video Kobi can be seen lying on the ground after being hit in the neck by a sniper’s bullet. He is soon surrounded by IDF soldiers  amid confusion as to what is going on. Kobi was evacuated by ambulance a short time later to a hospital in Jerusalem, where he was pronounced dead.

Dr. Danny Fink, a heart surgeon at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, was quoted by Israeli Hayom as saying: “[Kobi] was unconscious when he arrived. He was lifeless, with no blood pressure or pulse. He lost consciousness 15 to 20 minutes before he arrived at the hospital. Despite all the efforts, he died from loss of blood.”

Hundreds of people attended Kobi’s funeral Monday afternoon at the Haifa Military Cemetery, while in Hebron the IDF continued its search for the soldier’s killer.

Is not in English, so I can not understand. The image is a crude realty of the danger facing by soldier. I hope that the army had been searching and interview the neighbor to tray to catch the killer.

Baruch dayan emet…As the daughter of a Sabra my heart is in Israel. G-D bless the family of hero Sgt. Gal Gabriel Kobi.

when they find the killer, the go-al Adam, meaning Kobi’s family must search out and kill all those Arab scum who sent the killer on his mission. This includes all possible members of his immediate family if it is ascertained that they were involved. This is how Israel used to retaliate for such terrorist incidents because they became woosies on the world stage.

  • May he rest in peace and long life to his family.
