As the world turns to Geneva, awaiting an outcome from talks aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear program, the Reuters news agency produced a special on the details of the Islamic Republic’s Arak reactor, which has been a central feature in the maelstrom.

In a Q&A format on Friday, Reuters made the case that the long-stalled project is, indeed, designed for producing nuclear material, namely, 20 pounds of plutonium each year, enough for two nuclear bombs.

But global sanctions against the regime have delayed the arrival of key pieces and the threat of Israel destroying it in an air attack is ever-present, as the Jewish state has resorted to anonymously bombing similarly dangerous plants in Iraq and Syria.
