Suad Saleh, a professor of comparative jurisprudence at Cairo’s Al Azhar University and a television advice guru, told a man to abandon his Muslim Brotherhood fiancee because the political sect is now considered to be even less desirable than Jews or Coptic Christians.
“At the moment, under the difficult conditions seen in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood is more dangerous than Jews and [Coptic] Christians, because they are shedding blood, and consider themselves to be exclusively right,” Saleh said on television, adding that if the young man followed her advice, he would earn many good deeds from Allah, and be able to maintain the stability of his family.
Blogger Elder of Ziyon, who flagged the story on Monday, commented, “It must be super comforting for Jews and Copts to know that they are no longer the most hated people in Egypt.”
