Israel Hayom – The issue of whether Israel should strike Iran’s nuclear facilities should be up for public debate, said former Mossad chief Meir Dagan at a closed forum in Tel Aviv on Monday night.

Throughout the two-hour discussion — which was organized by the Tel Aviv International Salon and attended by about 150 mostly English-speaking immigrants in their 20s and 30s — Dagan offered detailed explanations of both his knowledge and analyses based on his eight-year stint as Mossad chief. Dagan spoke in English, beginning with an hour-long speech, followed by another hour of Q-and-A. Topics of discussion included the United States, Iran, terrorist organizations, Egypt and Turkey, among other contemporary security and diplomatic affairs.
