Charedi Leaders Planning ‘Million-Man’ Draft Law Protest

Israel Hayom – As the Shaked committee casts final votes on the mandatory conscription law, the ultra-Orthodox community is preparing further action against what it calls “forced conversion.” The Shas Council of Torah Sages was planning to meet Monday night in Bnei Brak with the Hassidic Agudat Yisrael and Lithuanian Degel Hatorah.

Factions of the ultra-Orthodox community are planning a “million-man rally” for next week, clarifying that it would not be a violent demonstration like the one held two weeks ago in Jerusalem organized by a local Jerusalem Lithuanian sect that is considered extremist.
