Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday sent his condolences to the families of the victims of yesterday’s massacre in Overland Park, Kansas, by a Ku Klux Klan leader.

“We understand that the murders were — according to indications — were perpetrated out of hatred of Jews,” Netanyahu said in a statement. “The State of Israel is at the forefront, along with all civilized peoples which are committed to the struggle against this scourge.”

On Sunday, 73-year-old Frazier Glenn Cross, aka Frazier Glenn Miller, a former “grand dragon” of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, was arrested for killing three people at a Jewish community center and nearby assisted living facility in Overland Park, Kansas. Before his identity was revealed, police confirmed that he yelled “Heil Hitler” when being arrested for the crime.
