Israel Reportedly Accepts Five-Hour Humanitarian Ceasefire Request by U.N.

JNS.orgIsrael has reportedly agreed to another cease-fire in its conflict with Hamas, this time at the request of U.N. Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Robert Serry, Haaretz reported. Under the agreement, Israel would halt its military operation in Gaza for five hours on Thursday.

According to Israeli Defense Ministry officials, the cease-fire will provide time to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza and give the residents of the coastal enclave time to reflect on the consequences of Hamas’s rocket attacks at Israel, reported Yedioth Ahronoth.
