Pope Francis said Saturday Christians are being “driven from the Middle East” in a message to Iraqi Christians forced to flee from Mosul by Islamic State group jihadists.

“Christians are being driven from the Middle East in suffering,” the pontiff said in a video message as French Cardinal Philippe Barbarin visited the Iraqi city of Erbil, where thousands of Christians have taken refuge following the fall of their city in June.

  • The only state in the Middle East where the Christian minority is protected and has full equal rights is, of course, the State of Israel. In Muslim states you can be executed for ‘blasphemy’ if you criticise Islam or Mohamet, or executed if you have an ‘alternative’ lifestyle. Which Middle Eastern state gets the most criticism over’human rights’?

    Good. The Catholics did nothing for the Jews during the Holocaust. Hitler was a Catholic. This is a just karma for a Catholic Church that let six million die and millions more for two thousand years. May the Muslims slice the head off of the Catholic Church.
